Stylistically combining Americana and singer-songwriter ethos with a little bit of grit and a little bit of soul, R.P. Mixon releases the first single, “Thank You,” from his upcoming debut LP due later this year.
“Thank you’ is a song for warm summer nights and cold beers. And it’s relatable,” says the songwriter. “We’ve all had those relationships that started out with so much hope and promise but ended with a frustrated ‘so long and thanks for all the memories.”

“Thank You” features his performance on lead vocals, acoustic guitar, and bass. Joining him is Charlene Holloway on backing vocals, David Lenat adds electric guitar, Chad Gustafson on organ, and drummer Ritchie DeCarlo rounds out the musicians contributing their talents.

The song was produced by R.P. Mixon and mixed by multi-platinum mix engineer Sylvia Massy. Recordings were co-engineered and mastered by Jim Salamone (Cambridge Studios, The Barn), with additional engineering by Brendan McGeehan (Elm Street Studios).

Hailing from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, R.P. Mixon writes and performs music that sounds like where it comes from: organic, authentic, and distinctly American. Inspired by a wide range of musical styles and genres, and artists as diverse as Merle Haggard, The Band, The Allman Brothers, George Harrison, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stephen Stills and Neil Young, R.P.’s music transports you back to the golden age of rock and country rock – when great musicians were featured as soloists, and lyrics came from the heart.

R.P. Mixon’s sound is shaped by vintage tube amplifiers, custom curated guitars, classic organs, and his distinct voice to create a warm and soulful sound which fits right at home with Americana, singer-songwriter, roots, folk, and blues music lovers.

R.P. Mixon will be playing select dates throughout 2024.
